Located around the corner from Mily on Union in Williamsburg Brooklyn, Lovewild Design is a family and women-run business. They sell unique, handcrafted and sustainable products with a mission to support local vendors and low impact manufacturing.

Thank you for taking the time to talk to us! What can customers expect to find from Lovewild Design?
We’re a sustainable store + studio! Everything from our brand, Lovewild, we make in the back studio whereas the front is full of sustainably made and handcrafted gifts, home, baby and bath goods. We carry a bunch of Brooklyn-based vendors as well as minority made goods from around the U.S.

Can you tell us a little more about the Lovewild Design journey? How it all started and where it is today?
I grew up as an entrepreneur so starting my own business felt like a natural and inevitable path. Lovewild really blossomed after working on all the details for my own wedding as well as working in the public sector and seeing how much waste is created while trying to make an impact in the world. I took things into my own hands, left my job and started making affordable and sustainable gifts to sell at local markets around the city. We’re now carried by hundreds of retailers around the world and it still ships from our tiny Brooklyn studio!

You have an incredibly curated collection of thoughtfully crafted and sustainably sourced products. If you had to choose, what are 3 of your favorite products right now?
- Mexican Moon Bath! It’s one of our newer products and I could not love it more, from the unique scent to the story it tells. I came up with this product on a trip to Oaxaca. We met a wonderful family, a third generation weaver that hand picks flowers special to the Zapotec valley of Oaxaca. From the moment I smelled the flower I knew we’d have to build a whole product around it.
2. The Mini Facial Kit is my go to gift for someone I don’t know well (Airbnb host, teacher, etc.) ! It’s a three step facial in a perfect travel size and includes a floral steam, green clay mask, and peppermint toner. All of our bath goods are the perfect fit for sensitive skin in case you’re unsure about the recipient.
3. Our DIY Green Cleaner is great for housewarmings and a super cute addition to your countertop. It’s a simple spray bottle that we screen printed cleaning recipes for various materials and a list of essential oils that can bring your DIY game up a notch. No need to keep various chemical-laden cleaners from the drugstore when this cutie is in your kitchen.
We love that you are a local women-led and family run business. With the stress and restrictions due to COVID-19 how has Lovewild Design adapted?
In March, my mom and I prepared to close for a few months. We were very scared as to what would happen to our shop, our loved ones, our city! We luckily were already set up with a great online presence. People started to order more online and I started sewing masks 16 hours a day! The masks really paid for our rent and supported us through a time that was stressful for everyone.
As a mom yourself, what are some of your favorite family-friendly local spots and / or activities that you enjoy in your spare time?
Community gardens are our go-to! They’re a wonderful place to connect with our community, enjoy some greenery and are a little more relaxed than a playground scene.

Come check out the shop! Located at 348 S 4th St, Brooklyn, NY. We’re open 12–5pm Thursday to Saturday. You can also order online. If we’re closed again due to COVID, we’re still able to ship online orders — but don’t wait until the last minute!
